About

Adnan Ahsan

Software developer and product builder. Known online as iadnanahsan.

I build software products end to end. That means the design, the frontend, the backend, the database and the server it runs on. Not because doing all of it is a virtue, but because the interesting problems in a product usually sit in the seams between those layers, and you cannot see a seam from one side of it.

Most of what I have built is on the work page: a giving platform, a leaderboard, a store for a water brand, a roster app for fly-in fly-out workers, a governance platform for local government. Different industries, the same underlying question each time: what does this actually need to do, and what is the smallest honest version of it.

I also build the tools I work with. Not products, just infrastructure for my own bench: a file platform the applications store their uploads in, a browser debugger, a documentation index, a memory layer. None of it is public. It is here because it is a real part of how the rest gets made, and leaving it out would describe the wrong person.

Awan Forge

Awan Forge is the studio I founded. It is a design and development studio, and it is where the client work on this site was done. The company traded as Stability until 2026 and was renamed that year. The same company, under a new name, at awanforge.com.

This site is the personal one. The studio has its own, and it is the better place to read about how it works, what it charges and how a project runs. What sits here instead is the part that is mine rather than the company's: the writing, the experiments, the tools, and the record of what I have built.

How I work

Ship the smallest honest version
Most features are answers to questions nobody asked. The smallest version that is genuinely complete, not a demo and not a stub, teaches you more in a week than a roadmap does in a quarter.
Own the whole stack, or you are guessing
A frontend problem is often a database problem, and a database problem is often a hosting problem. I run the servers for the things I build, which means the answer is always available rather than a question for somebody else.
Build the tool if the tool is the bottleneck
When the same friction shows up on the third project, it is cheaper to fix the bench than to keep working around it. Several of the tools I use every day exist for that reason and for no other.
Write the constraint down
A rule that lives in someone's head gets forgotten under a deadline. A rule that lives in a file, or better, in a check that fails, does not. This site refuses to build if a published project is missing a fact it claims to have.

Contact

I work from the Greater Jakarta Area, mostly with clients in other time zones. The fastest way to reach me is email: [email protected]. For studio work, Awan Forge is the better address.

What I am working on at the moment is on the now page, and what I have built is on the work page.
